They gleam in the sun and neigh in the night."

Welcome to Antiquity Hill Farm. This website is designed to give you an overview of the horses, facilities and programs offered by the Schnakenbergs. Unlike many of the larger farms, we are very personal with every one of the Arabian Enthusiasts and Clients we have been fortunate enough to meet throughout the years, and invite you to email us with your thoughts and comments. We would love to get to know you personally as well.

In addition to the personal attention given to every client and enthusiast we meet, Antiquity Hill Farm is a family operation which boasts a great deal of hands-on care for all of it's equine residents. While not large in numbers, the horses here have been carefully chosen for their pedigrees, and more importantly their talents and dispositions. The horses owned by the Schnakenbergs have pedigrees recognized throughout the world. Their talents have garnered hundreds of ribbons and trophies in the show arena, and their dispositions make them favorites of the youngest children and professional horsemen alike. Proving the point that the Arabian is a devoted horse unlike no other, is the somewhat unique practice that every horse, including the breeding stallions, are routinely handled by children from 8yrs of age to adults ranging in various degrees of horsemastership from rank beginner to professional. Those new to the breed will most likely be unaware that the Arabian is one of the only breeds in the world which allows it's stallions to be shown in hand and under saddle by children.

To those who BREED to one of the Antiquity Hill Farm Stallions, we offer assistance in finding the right people to help you through the experience of foaling, as well as assistance once you are ready to offer your foal for sale.

To those who PURCHASE a horse or foal from Antiquity Hill Farm or one of it's clients, we offer assistance in training, breeding, or re-selling when the time comes. This includes Investment horses as well as Family horses.

To those needing to BOARD their horse at our facilities, we offer the 24 hour care, knowledge, professionalism and family atmosphere missing in other boarding stables.

To those who are SEEKING INFORMATION about the Arabian breed in general, Straight Egyptian horses in particular, strains or other pedigree information, we offer assistance where we can. Where we don't have the information you require, we will help you find someone who does.

To those interested in one of the many PROGRAMS such as "Horses as an Investment", or YOUTH PROGRAMS such as our "First Ride Program", Antiquity Hill Farm show team, State Champion 4-H Hippology teams, or pre-purchase Apprenticeships, we offer a diverse choice of activities we will tailor to fit your needs whatever they might be. The Schnakenbergs want to see each client have a positive equine experience no matter how seasoned or new they are to horses.

With a lifelong background in Dressage, the Schnakenbergs have been in the Arabian business since 1992, beginning with a single Polish bred mare CR City Nites (X *Despekt- Linebred to Bask's sire line with 2 crosses to Bask showing) in foal to an Aladdinn son Jet Stream K. Their love affair with the history, untapped athletic prowess, and beauty of the Egyptian Arabian soon overtook them with the purchse of 2 outcross breedings to the Champion Straight Egyptian Stallion Ibn Naseri (see Horses) and his subsequent purchase. Their barns now boast several Straight Egyptian daughters of Ibn Naseri, Ruminaja Bahjat, and The Minstril. The influence of SF Bint Sonbolah, Al Metrabbi, and Moniet El Nafis (dam of Ibn Naseri son and Futurity Champion "An Indigo Moon") daughters does not go unnoticed, as well as Egyptian related and Polish mares to be crossed with their senior stallion Ibn Naseri (Ansata El Naseri X Sultannah X *Sultann) and others. In 2003 the Schnakenbergs were blessed with the opportunity to purchase a stallion who already had a loyal international following- Egyptian Event Futurity Reserve Champion WDA Orion (Simeon Shai X Nibrias X El Moongi) whose foals have exceeded in both Halter and Performance arenas garnering Championships and Jr Championships all over the United States. Making a long-time dream come true, along with the purchase of WDA Orion they also purchased their new Jr Grand Champion Stallion Al Azhar WDA (Thee Desperado X Katibah X Rofann). Ellen had looked for years to find this exceptionally exotic Thee Desperado colt capable of excelling in not only the Halter arena, but showing great promise as a performance horse as well. Al Azhar WDA will begin breeding outside mares in 2005, and the Schnakenbergs are looking forward to the birth of foals from mares already booked to him for that year. Making the dreams of the young Elizabeth come true, 2 other residents of the farm include National Show Horse National Driving Champion "Versace" and AHR 2002 OEIP 6 Time National High Point Champion mare "Ali La Baska". (See their stories in Horses)

See for yourself the gentle elegance and influence of the Egyptian Arabian Horse. The horse that the wise King Solomon chose for his own, the horse of Antiquity and all time. You will understand then, why my treasures do not glitter or clink, but gleam in the sun and neigh in the night. Please accept our invitation for a visit to Antiquity Hill Farm.
