They gleam in the sun and neigh in the night."

MCF Nicole represents some of the best things about the Arabian breed. With an extremely exotic head and neck, this refined, smooth bodied mare is very correct in every way. With her tail thrown over her back, her magnetism has literally stopped traffic on the highway that runs parallel to our farm. You simply can't help but stop and stare when this Straight Egyptian mare decides to show off her liquid motion, powerful snort and blow and that hoochie "look-at-me" attitude.

She has truly been a special mare to be around and is the biggest reason I chose not to go thru with my plans to disperse my breeding mares... I want one of her foals for my own! Her pedigree is rare for a mare as it is as strong on the dam's side as on her sire's side... something not often seen. Her sire Ruminaja Bahjat who was soon after exported to South America, is the full brother to Ruminaja Ali, and her dam is a member of the famous Sonbohla line. Mares from either one of these lines are treasured as broodmares and it is a rare find indeed when one is seen for sale. Unfortunately, Nicole has only been bred once while under other ownership, and after the tragic death of her colt was boarded here at our farm while her owner spent time in jail for neglect and abuse of her expensive Straight Egyptian horses. Her owner was subsequently not in a position to breed any more horses after that time due in part to the fact that she had originally begun the purchase of the mare along with her sister MC Katarina from Mill Creek Farms and then never paid for them. Nicole had been stolen! After a battle with her "owner" Carole King of King's Crest Arabians for 3 yrs of unpaid board bills and her flight to Texas to escape further Prosecution from the State of Missouri, a court order resulted in Nicole's registration papers being restored to her after our family's legal purchase of her. Soon after, I made the agonizing decision to disperse my broodmares for health reasons. Only hours after her sale I was made aware of the error of my ways by her many admirers who seemed to magically appeared literally from around the world. I am happy to end the saga by stating that Nicole is again back with us and we are very excited to announce that she will be bred to Al Azhar WDA and WDA Orion via embryo transfer, then will be put in foal to WDA Orion for a June 2006 foal. It is impossible to look at this mare and not see that she has something truly rare to offer Straight Egyptians and indeed the Arabian breed as a whole. Her full sister, Sonbohlas Music was exported to Germany and is the favorite mare of Hamra stud, having produced several exquisite foals for them. We have great plans for MCF Nicole and someday, I'm going to be able to say that we own the dam of 'that incredible foal'!

MCF Nicole did the remarkable this past summer, foaling undetected twin foals in the middle of the late afternoon. Unfortunately, as is usually the case, one foal- a beautiful filly- died shortly before or during birth. The 2nd foal, a colt, lived a week as we struggled to save this gorgeous foal of Nicole and Orion's. Nicole, who had previously rejected her first foal, was a loving mother to this baby and was absolutely distraught when we first had to load him up to take him to the vet on an emergency, and later when he succumbed to the diarrhea that we could not stop. Due to the timing of this birth on June 30, we decided to leave Nicole open in hopes of doing embryo transfer with her in 2005 (finances permitting). This short glimpse to what she has the capability of producing is what made up my mind to take these measures- with embryo transfer, we can actually have several MCF Nicole foals born in a single year instead of the single birth usually provided from a mare. At the end of the season, plans are to breed her and let her once again foal another WDA Orion baby in hopes that she will be able to raise her own beautiful Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa baby at last. As a result of our decision, we are offering embryos of MCF Nicole bred with the buyer's shipped or frozen semen, for sale at $5,500 each, limited to 2. As a result of my illness, I am also forced to put Nicole up for sale as well. We have refused $20,000 for her in the past, but will offer her to the right buyer at this time for less than that, Private Treaty, in foal to Al Azhar WDA or WDA Orion, LFG. Contact me at ellen@antiquityhill.com for more details. Because of my love and close connection with Nicole, it is very important to me where she goes and how she will be used and treated. A video of Nicole is offered to serious buyers. It would truly be a pleasure to invite you to the farm to see in person the future of the Arabian breed!
