Some of the highlights of WDA Orion's well respected show career include Egyptian Event Reserve Champion 3 year old Futurity Colt, 11th US Nationals Halter and many others. RELUCTANTLY OFFERED FOR SALE AT A DISPERSAL PRICE (Also In-utero Foals of WDA Orion and mares in foal to WDA Orion- See Sales Page at left)- WDA Orion produces clones of himself- extremely exotic Arabian head and face, unbelieveably long and snakey neck, smooth level topline, balanced strong structures and straight legs punctuated by that show stopping golden color. Linda Rome of Willow Draw Arabians, Texas was present at his birth and reminisces- "When he came out I was there to catch him (his dam foaled standing up). I was immediately concerned there was something wrong with him- his head had a dish like nothing I've ever seen before in my life and I thought there was a problem. I was wrong- I just couldn't get over how extreme and exotic his head was- He was a gorgeous baby and more than I had hoped for!" WDA Orion also passes on his loving disposition that "turns on" when asked. He freely exhibits his lovely floating trot that changes to powerful ground-swallowing drive when provoked. Orion's attitude would be hard to beat and we frequently allow young children to handle him during day to day activities. WDA Orion ships extremely well and is an extremely potent sire- we have had mares routinely ovulate 5 days post AI and settle in foal.
WDA Orion sons and daughters have enjoyed success in all venues from Halter and Performance careers to breeding programs both here and abroad. WDA Orion's pedigree is hard to surpass. His sire Simeon Shai is a show horse and Arabian Sire above reproach. In a single year Simeon Shai managed a feat never before accomplished winning Championships at US Nationals, Canadian Nationals and Europe's Salon Du Cheval creating a following both for himself and his offspring. WDA Orion's dam, Nibrias is a champion producer and a daughter of Australia's El Moongi- an Australian National Champion Stallion in the 1980's
SA El Tariq- WDA Orion x Shir Shalom (x The Minstril) A Beautiful example of a Performance Multi Champion and Show Champion in Open Dressage as well as Reserve Champion Halter Stallion As one would expect WDA Orion crosses well with all Arabian pedigrees, but has a special nick with Ruminaja Ali lines offering owners of the huge number of The Minstril and Thee Desperado daughters a proven outcross to their programs. WDA Orion Get are winning in the show ring in Halter and Performance- an incredible 25% of all Orion foals born are Class A Halter winners and Champions and Multi-Champions! Impressive by anyone's standards. Add to that the amazing figure that, of the Orion get actually shown, all are placing at the Class A level, and 75% are winning!
